DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to NCAA Division II opponent New Haven on Friday afternoon. With the result, the Bison fall to 9-8 (5-2 CCC), while the Chargers improve to 10-6 (6-3 NE10).
New Haven won all three doubles matches, with the match between Nichols'
Charis Vogler and
Kelley Carlin and New Haven's Alyssa Rodriguez and Lucia Placido being won 7-6.
The Bison picked up a win in singles play as sophomore
Antonia Carrero defeated Alyssa Rodriguez 6-3, 6-4. New Haven won all five of the other matches with the third singles match between Kacie Banks (New Haven) and
Johanna Schroeder (Nichols) going to three sets and Banks winning 6-2, 5-7, 10-8.
The Bison hit the court next on Monday, April 3 when they take on AIC at 3:30 from Robinson Tennis Courts on the campus of Nichols College.
