WESTON, Mass. – The Nichols men's tennis team dominated Wentworth on Sunday en route to its first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victory of the season by the score of 9-0. With the result, Nichols improves to 4-7 (1-0 CCC), while Wentworth falls to 2-9 (0-2 CCC).
The Bison swept duos play with the duos of
Frederick Bertrams and
Leon Zeis (8-5),
Santiago Perez and
Ciao Dieckmann (8-3), and
Trevor Schwarzmann and
Ludwig Schlatzer (8-3).
In singles play,
Enzo Matos Balleux got things going, winning in straight sets, followed by
Yannick De Vet, Zeis, Dieckmann, Bertrams, and Schwarzmann, all winning in straight sets.
The Bison are now 17-1 in the all-time series, with Nichols finding itself on a current 17-match winning streak.
Nichols will continue its CCC schedule on Tuesday, March 28 when they travel to Wenham, Mass. to take on Gordon.
