BEVERLY, Mass. (11/8/23) – Sophomore
Taylor Breen of the Nichols College field hockey team was named to the All-CCC Second Team for her efforts this season, the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced on Wednesday afternoon. The Bison also claimed a share of the Sportsmanship Award with Gordon College.
Breen led the Bison in goals (8), points (20), and game winning goals (2) in the 2023 season. Breen finished ninth in the CCC with her goal totals and for her point totals as well. The second-year player earned her first All-CCC honors with the second team nod.

Emma Mawn when talking about Breen, "She is a very hard worker in all that she does, it's nice to see that payoff"
Breen is the first member of the field hockey team to win since 2019 when MacKenzie McDonald was named All-CCC Second Team.
"We took a lot of steps forward this season, I'm proud of what we were able to accomplish." Mawn added, "We have a core group of returned and we've laid a foundation that I am excited to be able to build upon."
Nichols finished the season with a 6-11 record overall and 1-4 in conference. The Bison also made their first appearance in the CCC Tournament in nearly 10 years this past season.
