Dudley Mass. (10/12/23). – The Nichols Women's Tennis Team beat the UMass Boston Beacons on home courts 6-3 in a non-conference matchup.
Nichols rises to 5-2 on the season, and UMass Boston falls to 8-2.
In doubles action all 3 Bison tandems won, with
Antonia Carrero / Charis Vogler picking up an 8-3 victory at #1 doubles, team captains
Kelley Carlin /Jordan Knowles picking up an 8-4 win at #2 doubles and Sophia Leonardi / Johanna Schroeder getting a 8-5 win at #3 doubles.
In singles action, the Bison got wins at the number 2, 3 and 6 positions.
Johanna Schroeder (6-2. 6-0),
Cora Brosch (6-2. 4-6. 6-2), and
Camila Magrin (6-2, 6-0) all won for the Bison.
The women's tennis team returns home to the hill tomorrow, as they are set to host both Curry College and Suffolk University in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Robinson Tennis Courts. The matches are set for 3:30pm and 5:30pm. The matches will serve as senior day for Nichols seniors
Kelley Carlin and
Jordan Knowles.
