BRISTOL, R.I. (10/7/2023) – The Nichols College field hockey team faced off against the Roger Williams College Hawks on Saturday afternoon from Bayside Field. The Bison fell 6-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play.
After 15 minutes if scoreless action, the Hawks opened the scoring just four minutes into the second quarter and added a second goal a couple minutes later to lead 2-0 at the half. Roger Williams added three goals in the third quarter and one more in the fourth to win 6-0.

Sophia Venable stopped 12 shots in the effort for the Bison. Classmate
Merle Steinau led the way with 2 shots.
Nichols will continue their road trip as they take on Clark University on Tuesday, October 10 at 7 p.m.
