BIDDEFORD, Maine – Despite two first-period goals, the Nichols men's hockey team fell to the University of New England (UNE), 6-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday night at the Harold Alfond Forum. With the loss, Nichols falls to 6-11-0 (2-11 CCC) while the Nor'easters climb to 11-5-1 (9-4-0 CCC).

Tyler Bost kept UNE off the scoresheet with nine saves, giving Nichols a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.
From there, UNE would pour on six unanswered goals over the final 26:47 to earn its ninth CCC victory of the season.
Bost finished with 41 saves as the Bison were outshot 27-20.
Nichols returns to home ice on Saturday, January 28 as the Bison will play host to Salve Regina in game one of a home-and-home with the Seahawks with puck drop scheduled for 4:40 p.m. from Levy Rink.
