Nichols Women's Tennis - Post-Game Comments - Sept. 28 vs. Salve Regina
DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols women's tennis earned its first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win of the year in an 8-1 victory over Salve Regina on Wednesday night at the Robinson Tennis Courts. With the win, the Bison advance to a 3-3 overall record.

Sophia Leonardi (8-2), Nichols was able to jump in front of the Seahawks 3-0 following doubles play.
In singles action, the Bison picked up where they left off, earning five-straight wins. Carrero once again assumed her position on the first court, and cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 sweep. Following her third CCC Rookie of the Week honors, Vogler added a 6-2, 6-2 victory on the second court before
Johanna Schroeder took care of business in No. 4 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win to clinch the match for Nichols.
Camila Magrin and
Bethany Prendergast were both straight-set winners at No. 5 and 6 singles, respectively, with Magrin posting a score of 6-0, 7-5 and Prendergast nailing down a 6-4, 6-4 win to secure the final two points for the Bison.
The Nichols women's tennis team returns to action on Saturday, October 1 against Emerson at the Robinson Tennis Courts as part of the Nichols College Homecoming Weekend. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.
