DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols men's tennis program fell in out-of-conference action to Division I opponent Stonehill on Saturday, September 17 on the Robinson Tennis Courts. The match marked the second meeting in as many weeks against the Skyhawks, with the addition of singles play coming in the second matchup.
The visitors jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play, but both
Trevor Schwarzmann and
Yannick DeVet stepped up for the Bison in second and third doubles play, respectively, to get Nichols on the board. Schwarzmann won by a 7-6 (7-5), 6-0 score, while DeVet's match lasted three sets, finishing 7-6 (7-5), 6-7, 10-5.
The Bison return to action on Thursday, September 22, once again on their home court, to take on Springfield in another non-conference affair, beginning at 3 p.m.
