FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Nichols women's soccer program fell to Fitchburg State Tuesday afternoon, 2-1, at Elliot Field.
Fitchburg (2-3-0) got on the board early, netting their first goal just ten minutes into the first half.
With eleven seconds remaining in the first half, junior
Grace Killman cleared a Falcons corner kick out of the defensive zone, finding the foot of freshman
Falyn Hunt. Hunt ran the ball up the field, and with three seconds left, found the back of the net to tie the game for the Bison (2-2-0).
The tally would prove to not be enough, as the Falcons took the lead eight minutes into the second half.
Hunt led the Bison in shots with five, followed closely by Killman with four.
The Bison return home Thursday, September 15, to open their Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) schedule when they host Suffolk University at 4:00 p.m.
