DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols field hockey program fell to Wheaton College, 6-0, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Vendetti Field.
The Bison (3-2) held off the Lyons (1-3) for the first 10:30 of the match, before Wheaton struck for two goals in thirty seconds. Wheaton would tack on two more before the end of the half.
Sophomore
Sophia Venable came into the game in relief, making a season-high eleven saves. Freshman
Kaitlyn Bedard recorded the first defensive save of her career in the third quarter, preventing the Lyons from tacking on a second goal in the frame.
Nichols travels to Elms College Wednesday, September 14, for a 7:00 p.m. matchup at Timothy J. Leary Field in Chicopee, Mass.
