Nick Perenick named Asst. Director of Marketing and Digital Media

DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols College Vice President and Director of Athletics Jack Hayes has announced the hiring of Nick Perenick as the college's first-ever Assistant Director of Marketing and Digital Media.

Perenick comes to Dudley after spending the past two years as a graduate assistant in the sports information office at fellow Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) institution Suffolk University. He helped promote all 19 varsity athletic programs, served as host and producer of the 'Suffolk Sounds' podcast and was both the creator and producer of the 'Ram Cam' video series, which highlighted the day in the life of Suffolk student-athletes. Perenick also assisted with all photography and videography efforts for the athletic department.

Currently, Perenick serves as the Digital Media Coordinator and In-Game host for the North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NEBCL), a position he has held since May of 2021. He produces all social media content for the Navigators and serves as the primary videographer.

"I am honored to be joining the Nichols College athletic department to start the next chapter of my career," said Perenick. "I felt extremely welcomed by Pete DiVito, Kristan Mallet, and Jack Hayes from the second I stepped onto campus. I share their vision for Nichols athletics and am looking forward to promoting the student-athletes and coaches that make the college such a special place."

The Woburn, Massachusetts native majored in communications and sports journalism at Springfield College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2020. During that time, he was responsible for the setup and breakdown at home athletic events, the training of new student workers, and public address announcing for several sports.

As an undergraduate, Perenick completed athletic communications internships at Endicott College (June 2018 - August 2018), Western New England University (September 2019 - December 2019), and Mount Holyoke College (January 2020 – May 2020). He helped create social media content and maintain the athletic website for the Gulls, provided play-by-play for Golden Bears football, basketball, and hockey contests, and created graphics and game programs for the Lyons. Additionally, Perenick was the official scorer for WNE field hockey and soccer contests and served as the primary contact for the MHC lacrosse program.

"Nick emerged from a pool of talented candidates as the perfect candidate for this new position," said Athletic Communications Director Pete DiVito. "His creativity and ideas to promote our brand and our student-athletes across all social media platforms really stood out during the interview process. I'm excited to work with Nick – all 23 of our varsity athletic programs are going to benefit tremendously by having Nick 'On the Hill.'"

Perenick joins an Athletic Communications staff which features DiVito, who is entering his 11th year at the college and 21st in the profession in 2022-23, and Eliza Phillips, a 2021 graduate of Nichols who is completing her second year as a graduate assistant.
