PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Nichols College baseball team dropped an 8-3 decision to Rhode Island College Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Pontarelli Field.

The Bison (17-19-1) were held to just two hits on the afternoon, one each from sophomores Brennan Hyde and Ben Jerome, the latter of whom drew an bases-loaded walk to collect an RBI. Hyde also plated a run with a sac fly in the eighth.

Freshman Sean Ryan started on the bump for Nichols and surrendered three hits and four earned runs in two innings of work to fall to 2-3 on the season. He walked two and struck out two.
