DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College softball team lost a pair of games to Wentworth Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Softball Field.
Game One: Leopards 12, Bison 2 (5 inn.)

Kamryn Gurnee-Mims smacked her first collegiate home run – a solo shot to left-center field – and senior
Samantha Kostek drove in another run for the Bison. Gurnee-Mims and junior
Allie Brown each finished with two hits. Junior
Alyssa Ouellette surrendered nine runs and seven hits (four earned) in 1.2 innings of work for NC.
Game Two: Leopards 5, Bison 4
Gurnee-Mims laced a two-run double in the third to score Brown and senior
Mackenzie Bourgault before Gour singled home Gurnee-Mims. The Leopards pushed across the winning run in the seventh off Ouellette. Senior
Candice Nelson got the start in the circle for Nichols and allowed seven hits and four runs in 5.1 innings. She walked three and struck out four. The game was delayed approx. 40 minutes due to rain.
