Bison rack up 29 runs in DH sweep of Fighting Scots

DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College baseball team swept Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) baseball doubleheader with Gordon College on Saturday afternoon at the Nichols Baseball Field.

Game One: Bison 13, Fighting Scots 7
The Bison struck for eight runs in the eighth to turn a 7-4 deficit into a six-run win. Junior Will Kleinhenz' RBI bunt single knotted the score at seven before a sac fly off the bat of freshman William Nath put NC ahead 8-7. Senior DJ Caron followed with a two-run single and sophomore Johnny Knox brought home two more on his single through the right side to make it 12-7. Sophomore Brennan Hyde finished the contest with three hits while Caron and Knox, along with graduate student Nathaniel Cormier, all had two hits. Senior Owen Sullivan fanned four in 2.1 innings of scoreless relief to record his first win of the season.

Game Two: Bison 16, Fighting Scots 1
