DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College softball team lost a pair of games to Suffolk University Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Softball Field.
Game One: Suffolk 4, Nichols 3
Junior
Allie Brown recorded a pair of hits and freshman
Chloe Steiniger picked up an RBI groundout for the Bison. Senior
Candice Nelson surrendered seven hits and four runs (three earned) to go with two walks and four punchouts in 5.1 innings of work.
Game Two: Suffolk 9, Nichols 1
Steiniger drove in Brown with a single up the middle in the sixth for Nichols (3-11, 0-2 CCC), which also received hits from senior
Samantha Kostek and sophomore
Mackenzie Jackson. Junior
Alyssa Ouellette allowed five hits and five runs (four earned) in 4.1 innings. She walked one and struck out three.
