Allie Brown drove in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning of game two to give the Nichols College softball team a split of its Friday afternoon doubleheader at Roger Williams University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Paolino Field.
Game One: Hawks 3, Bison 1

Kamryn Gurnee-Mims went 2-for-3 with an RBI double for the Bison while Brown and sophomore
Mackenzie Jackson each collected a hit. Junior
Alyssa Ouellette struck out six over six innings of work for NC.
Game Two: Bison 10, Hawks 9
Brown racked up three hits and senior
Samantha Kostek, Jackson, and freshmen
Felicia Burgos and
Chloe Steiniger all picked up two hits as the Bison (7-15, 4-6 CCC) rallied from a 9-5 deficit for the win. Brown, along with sophomore
Erin Gour and
Felicya Decicco, each had run-scoring its to help back freshman
Chelsea Indyk, who worked 4.2 innings in relief to register her third win of the season. She scattered six hits and three runs while walking three.
