DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's lacrosse program recorded the third shutout in program history with a 19-0 whitewash of Northern Vermont-Lyndon Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Vendetti Field.

Freshman Hadley Houghton paced the Bison (2-1) with six goals while senior Elizabeth Luster and junior Mackenzie Doran each potted three goals. Senior Abigail Pelis and junior Kayla Currin added two goals, and freshman Jessica Volpi collected her first collegiate goal. Houghton and freshman McKenzie Muir each won six draw controls.

The Bison outshot the Hornets 44-3 and were a perfect 10-for-10 on clears. NVU-Lyndon, meanwhile, was just 4-of-20 on its clearing attempts.

Nichols last shutout came 16 years ago when it defeated Pine Manor by a score of 18-0. The first shutout in program history was a 19-0 win over Elms on April 8, 2002.
