DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College men's volleyball team recorded a 3-0 win over SUNY Polytechnic Friday evening in non-conference action on Senior Night at the Nichols Athletic Center. The Bison won set one 25-19, set two 25-18, and set three 25-16.
Sophomores
Nick Lavrenchuk and
Tanner Soracco each tallied 11 kills for the Bison (13-9), who have won five of their last six matches. Senior
Ray Wang added nine kills and five digs while sophomore
Nick Martin racked up 33 assists and six digs, junior
Nicholas Basco picked up seven digs, and senior
Nick Vermette collected one dig and one assist.
Prior to the start of the match, Wang and Vermette were honored alongside classmate
Collin Hunter,
Sean Jackson, and graduate student
Sammy Saintilus for their contributions to the program, whose first season of varsity competition came in 2019, when all but Saintilus were freshmen.
The Bison closed the night with a .406 hitting pct.
