CLERMONT, Fla. – The Nichols College softball team was defeated by Concordia (WI) University and Ramapo College Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at the PFX Spring Games at Hancock Park.
In the opener against the Falcons, senior
Mackenzie Bourgault picked up the first Bison hit of the afternoon in the seventh. Two batters later, sophomore
Hailey Bogusz dropped a single down the left field line to plate Bourgault. Freshman
Chelsea Indyk made her first collegiate start in the circle and allowed eight hits and three runs (two earned) to go with one walk and one strikeout over six innings.
The Roadrunners scored seven in the first and held the Bison to two hits, including a two-run double off the bat of senior
Samantha Kostek. Bourgault collected her second hit of the afternoon in the fifth. Junior
Candice Nelson surrendered six hits and nine earned runs in 2.0 innings of work. Classmate
Alyssa Ouellette tossed the final three innings and fanned five.
