MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Nichols College men's ice hockey team was defeated by Salve Regina University 6-1 Sunday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at St. George's Ice Rink.

Senior Curtis Carlson scored his ninth goal of the season and second shorthanded 8:31 into the second period. After the Seahawks tied the game 10 minutes later, they exploded for five goals in the third.

Junior Korbinian Lutz started in goal for NC and recorded 26 saves before being lifted in the third in favor of freshman Tyler Bost. He finished with eight saves.
