Curry secures 4-1 win over Nichols

HARRISVILLE, R.I. – The Nichols College men's ice hockey team was defeated by Curry College 3-0 Friday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Levy Rink.

Junior Conor Leonard scored his third goal of the season midway through the third for the Bison (6-13-1, 5-13-0 CCC) with assists going to seniors Justin Perron and Noah Poindexter.

Curry (13-6-2, 11-5-1 CCC) – which received a hat trick form freshman Eelis Laaksonen – outshot the Bison 38-27 and went 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Nichols junior netminder Korbinian Lutz registered 34 saves. Curry senior netminder Reid Cooper turned aside 26 shots to earn his 10th win of the season.
