DUDLEY, Mass. – Graduate student Matt Morrow registered a double-double with a game-high 23 points to go with 16 rebounds in Nichols College's 84-77 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Classmate Matthew Alectus also picked up a double-double as he finished with 21 points – including three triples – and 10 rebounds while freshman Tahmeen Dupree filled the stat sheet with 19 points, four dimes, and four assists. The win extends the Bison's win streak to six as they improved to 17-2 on the season (10-2 CCC).

Nichols led by three at the break (41-38) behind Alectus, who led all student-athletes with 15 points. In the second half, the Hollywood, Fla. Native rattled home a triple to extend the Bison lead to seven (65-58) midway through the second half. The Leopards twice climbed to within two points down the stretch, but a layup from junior Jakigh Dottin – who finished with 14 points – converted a fast-break layup with2:20 remaining to put NC back up by seven.

The Bison shot 44 percent from the field, committed just eight turnovers, and held a slim 38-36 edge on the glass. Wentworth knocked down 37 percent of its field goal attempts and was led by Trey Carrier with 22 points.
