HARRISVILLE, R.I. – Junior Conor Leonard netted his fifth goal of the season in Nichols College's 2-1 loss to No. 11 University of New England Saturday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey action at Levy Rink.

Freshmen Nathan Carl and Kayden Scott were credited with assists on the marker, which came at 9:51 into the third period and cut the Nor'easters (18-3-1, 13-7-1 CCC) lead in half. NC junior netminder Korbinian Lutz made 29 saves for the Bison, who went 0-for-6 with the man advantage.

Jared Christy and Austin Morgan scored for UNE while Billy Girard recorded 30 saves to earn the win. Each team recorded 30 shots on net.
