SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Nichols College men's ice hockey team scored three goals en route to a 4-1 win over Western New England University Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Olympia Ice Center.

Senior Justin Perron scored his first goal of the season for the Bison (7-14-1, 6-14-0 CCC), who went 3-for-4 with the man advantage and outshot the Golden Bears 42-28. Senior Curtis Carlson registered a pair of apples, freshman Owen Gonter returned to the lineup and potted his first collegiate goal, and junior defenseman Hunter Fraser netted his first goal of 2021-22.

Junior Korbinian Lutz recorded his fifth win of the season as Nichols extended its win streak over WNE to eight.
