SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Nichols College women's basketball team fell at Western New England University 90-57 Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's basketball action at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

Sophomore Abrianna Vazquez paced the Bison (8-14, 4-11 CCC) with 14 points while classmate Summer Klein dropped in 13 points and junior Leandra Ortiz netted 11. Klein pulled down a team-leading eight boards and Vazquez notched three steals.

The Bison entered the contest forcing an average of 29 turnovers/game but were only able to create 15 against the Golden Bears, who shot 40 percent from the field (31-of-78). NC was outrebounded 65-34.

Nichols was outscored 28-12 in the second quarter and went into the half tailing 39-22.
