BEVERLY, Mass. – The Nichols men's hockey program fell to no. 15 Endicott College, 5-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Raymond J. Borque Arena Friday night.
The Gulls (2-1-0, 1-0-0 CCC) struck first with 1:48 remaining in the first period on a perfectly placed top corner shot by Cass Bowes.
Senior netminder
Korbinian Lutz made 11 saves in the frame, while the Bison (2-1-0, 0-1-0 CCC) put 13 shots on net.

Philip Bjorkman wasted no time netting his first career goal 48 seconds into the second period to tie the game on a blue-line strike assisted by sophomore
Luke Harvie and junior
Joey Allegrini. Allegrini's assist was the first point of his career. Lutz warded off another 19 shots to keep the score tied at one apiece going into the third.
Endicott took the lead 6:32 into the third on a strike by Jackson Sterrett before sophomore
Nathan Carl scored his second goal of the season 47 seconds later, assisted by freshman
Taber Gutschick and Harvie. Gutschick's assist was his first point of his career.
The tie would not last long as the Gulls exploded for three goals in a 3:26 span, cementing the game in their favor.
Lutz finished the night with 56 saves.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow, Saturday November 5, at Levy Rink in Harrisville, R.I. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:40 p.m.
