EAST BOSTON, Mass. – The Nichols women's ice hockey team dropped a 10-1 decision in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup against Suffolk on Friday night at Porrazzo Rink.
After a scoreless first period, Suffolk broke open the scoring with 6:41 remaining in the second frame as Jesse Kennedy found the back of the net. Less than two minutes later, Kennedy would double the Rams' lead herself.
Suffolk went on to score seven goals before the Bison would break the shutout bid, as
Grace Wiggett found the back of the net on a
Taylor Breen feed.
Both
Julia Carroll and
McKenzie Muir logged time in net in the loss, with the loss going to starter in Carroll.
The Bison and Rams will face off in game two of the weekend series on Saturday, November 12 at Levy Rink with puck drop set for 4:40 p.m.
