HARRISVILLE, R.I. – The Nichols women's hockey team dropped the second game of a home-and-home series with Suffolk, 4-1, on Saturday evening at Levy Rink in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, falling to 0-5-0 (0-4-0 CCC) on the season.
 
After a scoreless first frame, the Rams opened the scoring on the powerplay, as Livia Brehm scored on a feed from Shana Cote with just under a minute to play in the second period.
 
Suffolk tacked on two more goals in the opening 3:35 of the third period to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
 
Grace Melanson would find the back of the net with 2:18 to play, putting the Bison on the board and breaking the shutout bid for Lily O'Neil.
 
Victoria Bakopanos made 49 saves in the setback for the Bison.
 
Nichols will press pause on its conference slate on Friday, November 18 in a 2:40 p.m. matchup with Rivier back at Levy Rink.
