Women's Soccer Powers Past Raiders

NASHUA, N.H. - The Nichols women's soccer program defeated Rivier University Monday night, 5-0, at Joanne Merrill Field.

Bison (5-4-1) junior Grace Killman opened the scoring on the night halfway through the first half when she scored on a cross by graduate student Maegan Roy.

Three minutes into the second half, sophomore Emily Feisthamel found the back of the net for the first time in her career, extending the Bison lead to 2-0. At the 60th minute, freshman Falyn Hunt struck twice in a 37 second span to bring the score to 4-0. Hunt's first strike was assisted by Feisthamel, and her second by Killman. Nichols' final goal came off the foot of junior Khaylin Hatcher at the 79:35 mark, off a pass by junior Rajchel Smardon.

The Bison led the Raiders in shots (41-4) and corner kicks (7-3). With the win, the Bison move to 5-0-2 all-time against Rivier.

Nichols continues non-conference play Wednesday, October 5, at 3:30 p.m. when they host Plymouth State University at the Nichols Soccer Field.
