DUDLEY, Mass. - The Nichols women's soccer program recorded a 2-1 win over Plymouth State University Wednesday afternoon at Vendetti Field.
The Bison (6-4-1) found themselves down 1-0 after Plymouth (5-5-1) took the lead just under 16 minutes into the first half. Nichols held possession for 57% of the half but could not convert on their chances.
In the second half, freshman
Falyn Hunt exploded for two goals in 43 seconds, the first coming off a cross by junior
Grace Killman, and the second from graduate student
Maegan Roy.
Hunt's two goal game is the second of her career, and her six on the season puts her in second in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).
The Bison return to CCC action Saturday as they head to Curry College for a 5:00 p.m. matchup at Walter M. Katz Field.
