DUDLEY, Mass. - The Nichols men's soccer program defeated the University of New England Saturday afternoon, 3-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Soccer Field.
The Bison (9-4-3, 2-2-3 CCC) got on the board first just under 16 minutes into the contest. Sophomore

Ethan Gosper who was able to make a quick move to beat the Nor'Easters (0-15-2, 0-8-0 CCC) goaltender and cross the ball into the open net.
UNE tied the game at the start of the second half after a Nichols defender's clearing attempt spun backwards off his head and over the head of sophomore netminder

Nikolas Padilla was able to regain the lead for the Bison, converting on a penalty kick. Graduate student
Nicholas McGrath added to the lead, collecting a stretch pass from junior
Colby Knight, sending it past the goaltender to give the Bison a 3-1 lead with 6:31 remaining in the contest.
Now sitting in sixth place tied with Gordon College in the CCC standings, the Bison will head to Bristol, R.I. Tuesday afternoon to face first place Roger Williams at 4:00 p.m.
