DUDLEY, Mass. - The Nichols field hockey program fell to Western New England University, 10-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Vendetti Field Saturday afternoon.
Western New England (8-5, 3-2 CCC) got out to a 2-0 lead after the first quarter before tacking on one in the second, four in the third, and three in the fourth.
Senior
Erin Anthony scored the lone goal, converting on a penalty stroke awarded to the Bison (5-11, 1-4 CCC) after the Golden Bears' netminder covered the ball. Anthony extended her career high in goals to nine, and now leads the squad in the category.

Sophia Venable combined for 13 saves on the contest.
The Bison will turn their focus to Tuesday, October 25, as they host Mount Holyoke College at 7:00 p.m. at Vendetti Field. Prior to the contest, the program will recognize their two seniors, Anthony and Fuchs, for their contributions the past four years.
