DUDLEY, Mass. – Freshman
Tahmeen Dupree scored a career-high 28 points in Nichols College's 97-87 loss to Roger Williams University Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Athletic Center.
Dupree also racked up seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals for the Bison (11-2, 3-2 CCC) while graduate student
Matt Alectus recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds to go with four steals. Classmate
Matt Morrow also picked up a double-double as the Leicester, Mass. native registered 17 points and 11 boards.
Nichols connected on just nine of its 34 attempts from downtown (27 percent) and were outrebounded 47-40. The Hawks (5-3, 2-1 CCC), meanwhile, shot 51 percent from the field (34-of-67) and snapped a 16-game losing skid to the Bison. Eli Harris led five RWU student-athletes in double-figures with 27 points (8-of-16 FG, 8-of-8 FT).
