Abrianna Vazquez continued her torrid scoring pace, dropping in 27 points in Nichols College's 91-70 win over Curry College Thursday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's basketball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.
Vazquez added a career-high 10 steals and knocked down seven of her 10 three-point attempts as the Bison evened their record at 6-6 on the season (2-3 CCC). Classmate
Summer Klein notched her third double-double off 2021-22 as she collected 18 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman
Hadley Houghton netted a career-high 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting.
Senior
Jillian Spillane chipped in with 15 points – one shy of her season-high – as Nichols forced 42 turnovers, marking the fifth time this season it has forced 40+ TO.
The Bison held a one-point halftime lead (34-33) before outscoring Curry (3-8, 0-4 CCC) by 11 in the third to build a 64-51 lead after three. Kristyanna Remillard led the visitors with 20 points.
