Hawks take down Bison in Bristol

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Nichols College women's basketball team suffered an 89-52 loss to Roger Williams University Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Campus Rec Center.

Sophomore Summer Klein paced the Bison (7-9, 3-6 CCC) with 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field. Classmate Abrianna Vazquez netted 11 points while junior Leandra Ortiz finished with nine.

The Hawks (16-0, 11-0 CCC) shot 51 percent from the field (39-of-77) and saw four student-athletes reach double figures in scoring, led by Katie Galligan with 23 points. They also outrebounded the Bison 62-20 behind 20 boards from Karli Opalka.
