Late Bison stampede comes up short against Suffolk

CHARLESTOWN, Mass. – Senior captain Curtis Carlson picked up his second collegiate hat trick in Nichols College's 6-5 loss at Suffolk University Saturday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey action at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Rink.

Sophomore Daniel Barry potted his first collegiate goal and freshman Gabe Temple also found the back of the net for the Bison, who saw seven different student-athletes record at least one point. Freshman Tyler Bost got the start in net for the second-straight night and recorded 22 saves.

Temple and classmate Owen Gonter each closed the night with a pair of assists for Nichols (3-11-1, 2-11-0 CCC) while senior Noah Poindexter won 16-of-29 face-offs.

The Rams (3-8-2, 2-11-0 CCC) outshot the Bison 28-26.
