Rams nip Bison in women's ice hockey, 2-1

EAST BOSTON, Mass. – Graduate student Mel McAleer potted her fifth goal of the season in Nichols College's 2-1 loss to Suffolk University Friday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's ice hockey action at Porazzo Memorial Rink.

Senior Isabella Portt was credited with the primary apple of the goal for the Bison (7-6-1, 4-5-1 CCC), who saw freshman Victoria Bakopanos recorded 31 saves. McAleer, meanwhile, won 13 of her 21 face-offs.

The Rams (12-2-0, 7-1-0) held a 33-19 edge in shots.
