Bost stops 36 shots in 4-2 win over Suffolk

HARRISVILLE, R.I. - Freshman netminder Tyler Bost stopped a career-high 36 shots in Nichols College's 4-2 win over Suffolk University Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey action at Levy Rink.

Bost was credited with 12 saves in each period en route to his first collegiate win. Senior Noah Poindexter scored the game-winning goal – his third of the season – 6:20 into the third period as the Bison picked up their third win of the season.

Ten different student-athletes recorded one point for NC first-year head coach Mike Parnell, including senior captain Curtis Carlson, junior Conor Leonard, and freshman Nathan Carl, each of whom found the back of the net.

Nichols (3-10-1, 2-10-0 CCC) outshot the Rams (2-8-2, 2-6-2 CCC) by a slim 39-28 margin and killed off both Suffolk PP opportunities.
