Erin Anthony each scored second-half goals to lift the Nichols College field hockey program to a 2-0 win over Anna Maria College Wednesday evening in non-conference action at Vendetti Field.
The win lifts the Bison to 3-1 on the season for the third consecutive season and extends their winning streak against the AMCats (0-3) to three. In the process, NC improved to 22-17-1 all-time against their neighbors from Paxton.
The Bison outshot the AMCats 15-4 and broke the scoreless tie midway through the third when Anthony collected a rebound off a shot from Edwards. Less than four minutes later, freshman
Emily LeBlanc fed Edwards for a one-time shot that found its way inside the left post. The point was the first of LeBlanc's career.
