DUDLEY, Mass. – Graduate student
Dana Edwards scored her second goal of game with 19 seconds left in regulation as the Nichols College field hockey team rallied from a 3-1 fourth quarter deficit to defeat Lasell College 4-3 Tuesday night in non-conference action at Vendetti Field.
Sophomore
Abigail Karalus also scored twice and freshman
Ryan Mellor collected an assist as the Bison moved to 5-3 on the season. NC outshot the Lasers 32-12 on the evening – including 11-0 in the fourth quarter – and held a 13-2 edge in penalty corners.
The Bison began their comeback 2:06 into the fourth quarter on Karalus' third goal of the season. Exactly three minutes later, she potted her fourth marker of 2021 to knot the score at three. Then, with time winding down in regulation, Edwards smacked a shot inside the left post for the winner.
The win was the 250th in the career of veteran coach
Laura-Ann Lane, who is in her second season at Nichols.
