DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's tennis team was defeated by Smith College 5-4 Monday afternoon in non-conference action at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

Freshman and reigning CCC Player and Rookie of the Week Antonia Carrero was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 1 singles for head coach Cris Popa, who saw sophomore Kelley Carlin score a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.

Earlier, the pair teamed for an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles while freshmen Camila Magrin and Johanna Schroeder were 8-6 winners at No. 3 doubles.
