MILTON, Mass. – Graduate student Kyle Bouchard knocked in nine runs in Nichols College's doubleheader sweep of Curry College Friday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Jack Valley Diamond. The wins pulled the Bison to within a game of .500 at 7-8 (3-3 CCC).

Game One: Bison 7, Colonels 4

Bouchard belted his sixth home run of the season – a two-run shot in the fifth – and junior Will Kleinhenz punched a two-run single to left in the seventh to propel the Bison to their third-straight win. Junior DJ Caron went 2-for-3 and scored three runs in support of graduate student Jack Dicenso, who fanned 10 batters for the third time in five starts this season. He allowed five hits and four runs (two earned) over seven.  

Game Two: Bison 21, Colonels 2

Senior Nathaniel Cormier and Caron drove in five runs and Bouchard plated four in a rout of the Colonels. Bouchard smacked his seventh round-tripper of the season in the fifth – a three-run blast to right field – while Caron recorded a two-run single and a two-run double, Cormier cleared the bases with a double, and freshman Tyler St. Onge plated two on a double. Eight of the nine starters for head coach Tim Mayo recorded at least one hit to back senior Justin Hurley, who held Curry to five hits and two runs over six to record his first win of 2021. He walked two and struck out six.

Two days after scored 20 runs in a win at Gordon, the Bison put up 21 against the Colonels, marking the first time since 2016 that they have scored 20 runs twice in one season. They defeated Lasell 28-5 on March 15, 2016 and later scored 23 against Fitchburg State on April 28.
