BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore
Summer Klein scored a career-high 28 points in Nichols College's 86-62 win at Wentworth Institute of Technology Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's basketball action at Tansey Gymnasium.
Klein also collected nine rebounds, eight rebounds, and two steals for the Bison (5-4, 1-1 CCC), who have now won three-straight against the Leopards (1-7, 0-3 CCC). Junior
Leandra Ortiz added 16 points, five rebounds, four dimes, and three steals while both senior
Jillian Spillane and freshman
Hadley Houghton each netted nine points.
Nichols held the Leopards to 27 percent shooting and forced 37 turnovers which it converted to 42 points. The Bison led 43-40 at the half before extending their lead to as many as 24 in the fourth quarter. WIT held a 61-49 edge on the glass as Spillane's nine boards paced NC.
