Bison fire 46 shots on net but upended by lancers, 3-1

HARRISVILLE, R.I. – Sophomore Megan Buxton scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season in Nichols College's 3-1 loss to Worcester State University Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Levy Rink.

The Bison (6-3-0) were held off the scoresheet until the final seconds of the contest when Buxton found the back of the net with 29 seconds on the clock. Senior Alicia Hunks and freshman Melissa Montesi were credited with assists on the goal.

Amber Lee stopped 45 of the 46 shots she faced for the Lancers (6-2-1), who received a goal and an assist from both Cassidhe Wozniak and Shelby Reaugh.
