Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Santoro's goal helps Bison earn 1-1 tie at No. 7 Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. – Graduate student Kara Santoro scored with 29.8 seconds remaining in regulation to help the Nichols College women's ice hockey team earn a 1-1 tie with No. 7 Endicott College Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Graduate student Mel McAleer and senior Alicia Hunks picked up assists on Santoro's third marker of the season for the Bison (6-3-1, 4-2-1 CCC) who recorded their first-ever draw with the Gulls (9-2-1, 7-1-1 CCC). Sophomore netminder Victoria Bakopanos recorded a career-high 45 saves, including 35 over the first two periods of action.

Endicott outshot Nichols 46-28 and won 51 of 78 face-offs (65.4 percent).
