O'Regan, Spencer combine for 41 in win over UNE

DUDLEY, Mass. – Senior Jason O'Regan poured in a season-high 21 points in Nichols College's 88-65 win over the University of New England Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Classmate Jaekwon Spencer added 20 points in 34 minutes of action while junior Jakigh Dottin netted 17 points to go with seven assists as the Bison remained perfect on the season at 7-0 (2-0 CCC). They are now 7-0 for the second time in four years as the 2018-19 squad opened the season with 10 consecutive wins.

Nichols shot 50 percent from the field (32-of-64) and canned 14 triples. Defensively, the Bison forced 18 turnovers which they turned into 24 points, and collected assists on 24 of their field goals, led by Dottin's seven and freshman Tahmeen Dupree with six.  

Graduate student Matt Alectus was the fourth NC student-athlete in double figures, finished with 10 points. Classmate Matt Morrow pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
