BIDDEFORD, Maine – Sophomores Quinn McCarthy and Dylan McMahon each scored goals for the Nichols College men's ice hockey team in a 7-2 loss to No. 14 University of New England Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Levy Rink.

Junior Conor Leonard and Hunter Fraser, along with sophomore Philip Bjorkman and freshman Nathan Carl, each picked up an assist for the Bison (1-1-1, 0-1-0 CCC) while junior netminder Korbinian Lutz finished the evening with 39 saves.

Nichols was outshot by the Nor'easters (1-0-0, 1-0-0 CCC) by a 46-40 margin and finished the evening 1-for-7 with the man advantage. UNE – which scored the final five goals of the contest – saw graduate student Daniel Winslow pot three goals in his debut after transferring from Quinnipiac.
