Bison blank Colonels in inaugural meeting, 6-0

CANTON, Mass. – Graduate student Kara Santoro scored a pair of goals in Nichols College's 6-0 win over Curry College Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's ice hockey action at canton Ice House.

Classmate Mel McAleer and senior Alicia Hunks each collected two assists while sophomore Megan Buxton added a goal and an assist for the Bison (4-2-0, 3-2-0 CCC), who outshot the Colonels 41-18.

Sophomore Grace Wiggett and freshman Melissa Montesi each potted their first collegiate goals in the win as 11 different student-athletes picked up at least one point. Junior Julia Carroll stopped all 18 shots she saw to record her third win of the season and second via shutout.
