DUDLEY, Mass. – Freshman Ryan Mellor scored her third goal of the season in Nichols College's 2-1 loss to Springfield College Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) field hockey action at Vendetti Field.

Junior Erin Anthony collected an assist on the goal for the Bison (6-5), who saw junior goalie Megan Fuchs record four saves. Each team was credited with 14 shots on goal as Mellor and graduate student Dana Edwards each took five.

Prior to the contest, Edwards and fellow graduate student Liza Phillips were honored for their contributions to the program over the last five years.
