The Nichols College men's lacrosse team lost 15-6 to Emerson College in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Vendetti Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Bison (1-4) were led by sophomore
Cian Keohane who notched four points, on two goals and a pair of assists. Classmate
Hunter Ferreira picked up three points, while junior
Brendan Coates picked up a pair of goals in the contest. The Bison fell behind early, with the Lions (2-2) ripping off three goals in the first quarter to take the early 3-0 lead, including two from Skyler Celotto, who finished with six goals.
Nichols answered back by scoring four unanswered to take the 4-3 lead midway through the second quarter. However, Emerson went on to score six of the next seven goals in the second quarter to take a 9-5 lead at the half. The Lions then went on to only allow one second-half goal, outscoring the Bison 6-1 to close out the win. Emerson was led by Celotto who notched seven points on six goals, while Hunter Gervais was second on the team with six points on four assists and two goals.
